You may or may not have noticed on my family photography page this very-loved shot of my very-loved firstborn. He was five in this picture and this was a quick image of him just being his fun and active self, which is why it's one of my favorites!
I'm one of the many "moms-with-a-camera" who became professional photographers. That's a strength for all of us, as we enjoy the people we're shooting as well as the art of the craft.
It started way back before I had the privilege of motherhood, though. The ever-present camera in my hand was regularly itching to document, capture, and freeze time, and I have an obnoxious amount of photo albums to prove it. In them are countless images of travel, friends, life experiences, and my loving nuclear and extended family. What a gift.
Then... I bought my first "real" camera, took my first photography course with a friend, and learned, learned, learned, which continues to this day. As my skill grew, family and friends asked for images with my "good" camera, encouraged me to pursue a business, and here we are!
So what should you expect? Your unique stories, customer service experience, and excellence are my top priorities in this amazing job. Did I mention that I love people? My years as an elementary teacher and mother through many phases of childhood help me understand and work well with you and your family, who I expect to be - and encourage to be - fully themselves! This also allows me to understand your perspective and seek to lift your stress during our session.
Clear communication before, during, and after your shoot will ensure that you are heard and comfortable throughout the process. And with excellence in mind, I am always practicing, enjoying, and learning more about my craft. My goal is that you have a relaxed experience with the end result being beautiful, unique, and personal art for your walls.
This little business is a dream come true. Thank you for supporting it!
